"Opera" wall clock
Cost: from 300 USD
Creative timeline: from 3-4 weeks
This unique wall clock was inspired by the opera Eugene Onegin by Petr Tchaikovsky. Specifically, I was asked to depict a line from the Duke's Aria in the Third Act: "Onegin, I shall not hide, that I am completely in love with Tatiana."
The notes, flats, accidentals and bass clef – faithfully corresponding to the rhythm and key signature of the excerpt – were all individually hand-carved, with love, totaling 27 pieces. The rose was carved separately from Alder.
Why this specific opera and this specific part, accompanied by a rose? Because it was the intended recipient's favorite part from her favorite opera, accompanied by her favorite flower. My client knew her friend very well!
The "Opera" wall clock has found its home in the Russian city of Electrostal, and I couldn't be more pleased!
